Rebecca L. Weinberg, founder of Weinberg Law Group, practices law with the conviction that no problem is insurmountable if you have knowledge of the subject matter, a little creativity, intelligence and the right attitude. Ms. Weinberg is a tough and innovative attorney who thrives on the complex issues that workers' compensation and employment law provide. Her unique approach to problem solving makes her not only a highly respected and skilled litigator, but also a persuasive negotiator.
Throughout her legal career, Ms. Weinberg has concentrated on complex business matters, workers' compensation issues and employment law and real estate disputes. In May 2005, she became the youngest woman ever to argue before the Illinois Supreme Court in Alvarado v. Industrial Commission (216 Ill.2d 547, 837 N.E.2d 909, 297 Ill.Dec. 458 (2005)).
Ms. Weinberg is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and is a member of the Federal Trial Bar of the Northern District of Illinois. She regularly handles cases before a wide variety of tribunals, including the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission, the Chicago Commission on Human Relations, the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, the Illinois Department of Employment Security, Circuit Courts in Cook, DuPage, Henry, Lake, McHenry, Will, Kane and McLean Counties, and Appellate courts in the First, Second, Third and Fourth Districts.
Ms. Weinberg attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida where she completed a double major in Spanish and Criminology. She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law. She is currently a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the National Association for Women Business Owners, the Human Resources Association of Chicago, the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce, and the Lakeview Citizens Council. Ms. Weinberg also serves on the Workers' Compensation Committee of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce. She is fluent - speaks, reads and writes - in Spanish.
