Navdeep K. Gill practices in the areas of employment, workers' compensation and business litigation.

Ms. Gill's employment law experience includes drafting and negotiating employment and severance agreements for a variety of professionals including doctors and executives. She has handled Title VII cases on both the employer and employee side and also counseled employers on employment law issues involving the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act, the ADA, ERISA, FMLA and FLSA. Ms. Gill has worked on employee handbooks and has advised employers on various employment policies and guidelines. She has represented clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights and the Human Rights Commission.

As a judicial law clerk, Ms. Gill was exposed to a number of administrative review cases involving employees of the City of Chicago and various Boards of Education throughout the Chicago area. She was also exposed to cases involving judicial review of labor arbitration decisions affecting unions at the Chicago Transit Authority. Ms. Gill also deals extensively with restrictive covenant issues in employment agreements.

Ms. Gill has authored articles on the Illinois Victims' Economic Security and Safety Act, workplace harassment and venues for filing employment discrimination claims for newsletter publications. In addition, Ms. Gill has presented on sexual harassment in the workplace to the DePaul Law School, Law Women's Caucus.

Ms. Gills' workers' compensation experience includes defending large Illinois and non-Illinois based corporations including hospitals in high volume defense work from the time a claim is filed through the review stages at both the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission and in circuit court.

Ms. Gill received her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law. She is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois as well as the Federal Court of the Northern District of Illinois. Following her admission to the bar, Ms. Gill clerked for two years with the Honorable Judge Donald J. O'Brien in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Ms. Gill is an active member of the Women's Bar Association of Illinois and has been a board member for the Women's Bar Association since 2004. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Indian American Bar Association and also volunteers for the Cyriac D. Kappil Pro-Bono Clinic which provides intake and legal services to the immigrant community. She is fluent - speaks, reads and writes - in both Punjabi and Hindi.
